Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Visible wear marks to boards.

A story of two children recovering from an illness on the western coast of Scotland. They end up looking after a cottage on one of the Western Isles. The two children enjoy exploring the remote island, fishing and watching the sea birds that nest there. That year a rare pair of sea eagles has nested and the two unwittingly become involved in a struggle to stop the nest being plundered by two shady egg thieves. .
