Austrian composer and 1861-80 theater conductor in Glarus, Aachen, Innsbruck, Troppau, Linz, Brno and Vienna. From 1880 director of the Mozarteum in Salzburg; there he conducted numerous first performances. He wrote many church music works, several concertos and orchestral pieces, choruses and songs.
