Putnam, Ruth. William The Silent Prince of Orange. The Moderate Man of the Sixteenth Century (In 2 Volumes).. G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1895.
A well refurbished Ex-Lib set with pastedowns and pockets carefully removed leaving only embossed stamp on title page of both volumes. Remains of Spinal label present. Hinges and joints intact thought there is beginning hint of threads showing at front of each volume. Overall a terrific set of two volumes in brown cloth with gilt/embossed titles (coat of arms) and burgundy & gilt spinal titles. Overall modest shelf and corner wear, gently bumped corners, rolled head and tail of spine with minute splits and a few small chips present. Pages evenly tanned, a few library notations on title/content pages but rest of both volumes are void of any marks of any kind. By far a solid set of Nineteenth century reference works and much better than graded..

First Edition, Hardcover, Very Good with no dust jacket.
