Hardcover Poor with no dust jacket Clean, unmarked text with several illustrations throughout including a frontispiece engraving of the author. Cover has heavy wear and fraying to the edges as well as a closed tear along the top part of the rear joint. Cover has moderate to heavy shelfwear and a stain on the back cover. Spine has vertical wrinkling and creasing. Title page is attached but is close to detaching and has 3 small stamps on it. Rear pastedown and endpaper have been repaired with new paper.
