450 g; 240 pages, last page blank, dustjacket illustrated by Alfred Gant, end page maps by Eric Leedham, 16 pages of black-and-white photography showing various of the paddle steamers that used to ply the Murray River. There is one in text illustration showing a hand drawn map. The colour illustrated dust jacket is missing the bottom 3.0 inches of the backstrip section, and has sundry other short tears and chips. The book itself aside from minor wear from handling, is in very good order. This is a history of the inland shipping that used to run over 4000 miles of Australia's rivers.
