Book description: No edition is described in the book. Possible first. 429 pages. Book condition: Boards are heavily worn. Bumping to thead and heel and corners. Spine is heavily flayedto the edges. There is some loss to the head and heel. Picture to the front board is scratched, rubbed and faded. Gilt titles are rubbed but still slightly legible. Interior hinges are cracked but the book is still held together well. Front free end paper is possibly missing. Title page is creased. Creasing to the bottom corner of many pages. A lot of foxing to the text block. Previous bookseller sticker to rear paste down. Overall not a pretty book, but a very collectable classic. Good reading copy in good condition for its age.
