Dust jacket reads: The bizarre story of Woolworth heir Jimmy Donahue's life and the last untold episode in the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. "YOU FIRST FELL in love with him as rambunctious 'Little Joe' Cartwright on 'Bonanza.' By the time he was everyone's favorite Pa on 'Little House on the Prairie,' he had already established himself as a successful writer, producer, and director. Countless devoted fans welcomed his debut as the heavenly angel, Jonathan Smith, on 'Highway to Heaven.' Now, here is a look at the lighter side of Michael Landon-the compassionate, generous man with an enormous capacity for fun and laughter. Affectionately written by Pamela and Harry Flynn, longtime friends and his public relations consultants for almost nine years, this poignant tribute presents Landon at his best-the gags, pranks, and outrageous practical jokes he played on the family, friends, and co-workers who knew and loved him. Prefaced by wife Cindy's loving foreword, the first-hand recollections of Johnny Carson, Bob Hope, Art Carney, Helen Hayes, Ed Asner, and scores of others are highlighted with over a hundred Hollywood photographer Gene Trindl's behind-the-scenes pictures at home and on the set. Featured celebrities: Ed Asner, Lew Ayers, Ernest Borgnine, Art Carney, Johnny Carson, Bill Claxton, Maury Dexter, David Dortort, Jay Eller, Richard Farnsworth, Victor French, Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, Lorne Greene, Moses Gunn, Helen Hayes, Bob Hope, Bill Kiley, A.C.
