"The eight volumes of YOUNG AMERICA'S MUSIC are devoted to musical compositions of every description. The more than 700 compositions have been selected with children and their interests in mind. The subject matter is arranged to grow with the child as he grows. VOLUME ONE is an introduction to music for very little children; it is divided into three sections: Cradle Songs which mother, big sisters and teachers may sing or teach the children to sing, Nursery Rhymes to which they can listen and in the singing of which they may join, Musical Games which provide action as well as the pleasure of singing and help develop a sense of musical rhythm. As the child grows, the subject matter becomes broader. VOLUME TWO is devoted to songs for girls and boys, songs which children may sing when called upon to entertain their friends.
