The contents are very good. <p>First edition.<p>Inscribed by Craven to the great craftsman Laurits Christian Eichner [1894-1967] and Sarah Craven Eichner on the half-title in the year of publication and signed: "With the love and compliments of The Editor / Christmas, 1931". Laurits Eichner's bookplate is mounted on the front pastedown with his private library numeral sticker on the spine and a couple of pencil notations in the text. Eichner's work ranged from hand-wrought pewter and handcrafted clocks to the invention and construction of many scientific instruments for space exploration and physics.
