New York: Larry Clark. 1983. Second edition. Quarto. Stiff pictorial wraps. Fine. This copy has been signed in felt tip pen by Larry Clark at the lower title page. A superb copy of the uncommon second edition of this now classic Larry Clark title which in this second edition contains an additional ten plates which were previously unpublished. Published only in wraps. Scarce in the either the first or second edition, scarcer yet when signed by Clark and even moreso in this gorgeous condition. A great book.

Clark, Larry: Punk Picasso. 2003. Paper in slipcase. Signed and dated by Larry Clark.

(New York): Roth Horowitz / PPP Editions / AKA Editions. 2003. (First edition). Stout quarto. Illustrated stiff wraps. Fine in fine plain card original slipcase. From the publisher "Larry Clark's opus Punk Picasso, whose title references David Denby's review of "Bully": " as the camera wanders, grazes, among naked thighs and tattooed torsos, this punk Picasso combines the multiple desires of lover, artist and voyeur " - displays in scrapbook format a loose chronological overview of the celebrated artist's provocative career. The material presented ranges from family snapshots (his American Indian great grandfather, his father playing golf, a portrait of his mother as a professional photographer with Rollei and flash in hand, Clark with his son's soccer team); unpublished images from "Tulsa" and "42nd St."; photographs from the set of his first film "Kids" and his new film "Ken Park"; clippings from reviews of exhibitions and films; correspondence; transcribed stories; Roger Maris ephemera; portraits of skateboarders; River Phoenix (images appropriated from Teen Magazines); Clark's lover Tiffany and their dog Snappy; Page Six from the New York Post headlining: Larry Clark stands up for U.S.; and reproductions of phonograph records that act as soundtrack to the visual narrative. "punk Picasso" gathers together scraps of evidence that chart the life of the artist and his creations, which in Clark's case, are inseparably entwined". Profusely illustraed and beautifully printed. One of only 1,000 numbered copies each signed and dated by Larry Clark in green felt tip pen at the lower rear page of credits. An incredible and fascinating upfront and personal autobiographical opus of and by one of the most important and influential photographer's of the 20th and now 21st centuries. A great book.
