King, Stephen: The Shining, English edition, POCKET BOOKS, August 2001 ISBN: 0743424425
The Overlook Hotel is more than just a home-away-from-home for the Torrance family. For Jack, Wendy, and their young son, Danny, it is a place where past horrors come to life. And where those gifted with the shining do battle with the darkest evils. Stephen King's classic thriller is one of the most powerfully imagined novels of our time.

King, W. A monograph of the Permian fossils of England.
London, The Palaeontographical Society, 1850. 4to. xxxvii, 258 pp, 29 engraved plates (I-XXVIII, XXVIII*). Contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Spine with five raised bands. Compartments rich gilt with vignettes, gilt borders and with gilt title. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt.* An attractive copy of this important work which deals with a variety of fossil animal remains, of which the Brachiopoda and Mollusca form the majority by far. Quite a few are described and named by King. Also included are many fish, the large folded plates show several of these in great detail. This is Palaeographical Society monograph 5, one of the earliest, and one of the few that is complete in itself, without continuations and supplements. Some few plates a bit foxed. Bookplate of Thomas Baron Brassey and his library stamp on title, the small stamp also on last plate verso (not shining through), otherwise a very good clean copy. Nissen ZBI, 2184.
