Hardcover Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket Edition: 1st American Edition; 1st Printing Spine ends & corners of book cover have extremely light bumping & rubbing. Dark orangy-red paper covered boards have a tan cloth spine with gilt lettering. Text pages are clean & bright. Endpapers are a solid white color. Spine ends & corners of dust jacket have a bit of light bumping & rubbing. Corners and edges of the dust jacket have a bit of light edge wear & very beginning wrinkling as well. Rear dust jacket cover has a couple of spots of dirt. Top edge of dust jacket spine and two tiny edge nick / tears. There is also a tiny crack / tear to the front spine joint by the bottom spine end. Overall, a very good+ copy. Spine slanted, corners bumped, slight edge wear, a little browning but text is clean and unmarked. Jacket shows some edge wear and a little chipping, some darkening.
