Hardcover Good Rare book of fiction from African-American poet, Paul Laurence Dunbar. Bound in brown cloth with gilt embellishment. Illustrated paper title of elderly black gentleman on front board. Defects: There is severe dampstaining to the lower corner of the book. Damage is heavier on rear board, while only the very bottom tips of interior pages are affected. There is a faint musty odor to book. Otherwise, book is slightly shelf-cocked with minor rubbing to edges and joints. Light foxing to pastedowns and endpapers, front free endpaper removed.
