No Date - Bright red boards with titles in black on spine in this sixth book in the Biggles adventure series for boys and girls remain in Fine condition. The pictorial dustjacket showing a young man helping what appears to be an injured pilot on the front cover remains in Near Fine condition. There is very minor wear to the corners and edges. It is rare to find one of this series in such wonderful condition. In this adventure, Biggles is stranded in the tropical swamps of British Guiana when the company he is employed by folds up. Hb, no date, c. 1950s or 80s, green cloth in pictorial DJ, G+/G, 183pp. Unclipped DJ has moderate rubbingto spineends, edges and corners, small loss at spine ends from tears, now splendid in archival film. Book has mild rubbing to edges with some chipping to top edge, inside is age browned to extremities, o/w square, clean, and tight, no ownership marks, a more than good copy. Another ripping yarn from the good Capt. Biggles is stranded in Guiana and uses his amphibian to undertake dangerous missions in the Vickers Vandal. 320g when packed.
