An excellent reference on the work and the influence of artist, designer and photographer, Alexey Brodovitch. Profusely illustrated. A beautiful copy of an uncommon book which was published on the occasion of the exhibition "Hommage a Alexey Brodovitch" held in Paris in 1982. Designed by Allan Porter. Text in English and French.

A spectacular copy of this excellent profusely illustrated book which was issued on the occasion of the exhibition "Alexey Brodovitch and His Influence" which was held at the Philadelphia College of Art in Philadelphia in 1972. A wonderful book. Scarce, especially in this beautiful condition. A great book.

n.p.: William Morrow. 1935. (First edition). Octavo. Metal spiral bound with heavy plastic boards over decorated foil covered stiff boards. Plastic is yellowed. Front foil covered panel and first leaf are separated from the metal spiral. Leaves are edge tanned and lightly soiled else still a very good copy of this book which was designed and illustrated by Alexey Brodovitch. Type set by The Composing Room. This copy has been inscribed in ink on the dedication page by author Tom Maloney. A scarce book.

Cincinnati: Zebra Press. 1951. (First edition). Large quarto. Illustrated French style wraps over plain stiff card boards. Edges are lightly tanned. Backstrip of cover wraps is missing as usual. Top tip of front panel has a small chip. Extremities have some light wear else a very good copy of the third and final issue of this beautifully designed (by Alexey Brodovitch) of this excellent graphic arts publication. This issue includes the Ben Shahn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, French marble papers, calligraphy, stereoscopy, Jackson Pollock, hobo signs, Alexander Calder, Skira books, photography by Isamu Noguchi and Robert Osborn. This wonderful periodical which was to be a quarterly, sadly ceased publication after only three issues. Scarce in any condition.
