An unusual association copy from the library of philosopher C.C. J. Webb (dated 1926 with his signature on front endpaper) with two hand written letters from the Editor A. S. L. Farquharson to Webb concerning corrections and comments Webb had suggested after reading Statement of Inference with references to page numbers and specific replies to questions and points of interest previously supplied by Webb. One Letter written on University College Oxford Stationary and dated 29 March 1926 and the other witten on plain paper dated 5 July 39'. Both letters have been layed into the front of Volume one.
