1st edition, with the rare dustjacket. - F. W. Bain (1863-1940) was a professor of History in the Deccan College of Pune, in British India, until his retirement in 1919. Dustjacket slightly rubbed and with short tear; a beautiful copy. --- Other volumes by Bain in identical shape and condition in our stock: 'A Syrup of the Bees'; 'The Ashes of a God' and 'In the great God's Hair'.
