Signed by Stanley Bradley on front free endpaper. Inscribed to Bradley by the author & signed by him on the verso of the title. Original black lettered red cloth in original dust jacket. Very good copy with some color rub as back-strip foot in good dust jacket not price-clipped at $4.50 but with two inch closed tear & a light stain along lower edge of dust jacket. Stanley Bradley s copy. Dr. Bradley was Bard Professor and Chairman, College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University. Dr. Means was the James Jackson Professor of Clinical Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Chief of the Medical Services at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 1923 to 1951. He established the unit system of care, where specialists to work as a team for the best care of the patient, and a research unit, known as WARD 4, which served as the prototype for many research or metabolic units around the country, including the Clinical Research Center at the National Institute of Health.
