Numerous colorful plates by Paul Menerheim intermittently throughout. A good book with toning and light soiling to boards. Edgeworn, and corners gently bumped and frayed. Small dampstain to rear board near spine has been tinted pink by spine cloth. Previous owner's name stamped to front board and free endpaper, and previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Pages are toned near edges, and plate between pp 258 and 259 has small stain to verso. Spine is cracking between page 2 and plate. A generally solid copy with beautiful illustrations.
