Prof. Dr. Peter Buxmann / Technical University Darmstadt. Peter Buxmann is Professor for Software Business & Information Management at Darmstadt University of Technology. His research fields include Software Business, Cloud Computing, Standardization of Information Systems, and the Economics of Open Source Software. Moreover, he serves as a Department Editor of the Journal Wirtschaftsinformatik resp. Business & Information Systems Engineering. He is also the author of more than 200 publications, among them the book "The Software Industry". Peter Buxmann is head of several research and consulting projects and supports entrepreneurships in the IT sector. Furthermore, he is a member of the Executive Board and Research Director of the "House of IT". Peter Buxmann was born in 1964 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He studied and received his Doctoral Degree at Frankfurt University. Afterwards he worked as a visiting scholar at the Haas School of Business, University of California in Berkeley and as an Assistant Professor at Frankfurt University.
