One of the first designers to rediscover felt and update it for the contemporary interior, Finnish-born Anne Kyyrö Quinn broke fresh ground when she used the material to pioneer a new range of uniquely ‘structural’ textiles. Resembling artworks more than conventional fabrics, her creations push our perception of textiles to the limit. The projects can be made using heavy woven wools and simple craft felt –both of which are readily available by the metre from most fabric and hobby craft shops.
