Repairers of the Breach: Memoirs of a Mission, Nagasaki, Japan 1948-1951 - Softcover

Much has been accomplished to repair the breach between Americans and Japanese since World War II. Margery Mayer and her Kwassui students did their part in post war Nagasaki. They had many discussions about Christianity and democracy as well as the growing natonalism and militarism of the United States. This is the story of their life together, Japanese students and an American missionary, the impact it had on each, and the bonding that took place as they worked toward a new world of peace.
