Dr. Alberto Albeniz grew up and studied medicine in Spain. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1989 to work and train with the National Health Service.

Dr. Albeniz became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1995. He specialized as a consultant psychiatrist in psychotherapy and became a member of the Institute of Group Analysis in 2000.

Over the past ten years, Dr. Albeniz has led a community treatment unit of people who suffer from personality disorders. He combines group and individual psychotherapy within a psychiatric framework in Coventry. He also serves as a psychotherapy tutor in the West Midlands, teaching and supervising psychiatric trainees, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, and social workers.
