Robert Bennett Lubic is a retired international trade law practitioner and professor and active arbitrator, residing in Washington, D.C. He has travelled extensively as a lawyer and arbitrator, spending time in one hundred and twenty-seven independent nations as well as serving as a visiting professor at various law faculties in Beijing and Shanghai, China; Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia (then the Soviet Union); Jerusalem; Paris; London; Tokyo; Warsaw; Turin, Italy; San Juan, Puerto Rico; as well serving as a law professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a tenured law professor at American University Law School in Washington, D.C. He holds three degrees including a BA and JD. from the University of Pittsburgh and an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he has directed international legal symposiums in Bermuda and the Bahamas, and acted as a lecturer on international trade law and arbitration and mediation at law faculties in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Australia, and New Zealand. Professor Lubic has written numerous legal and dispute resolution articles and served on Arbitration Panels at the World Bank, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, Public Employee Relations Board of the District of Columbia, Virgin Islands Public Relations Board, Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority, and Veterans Administration. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and the Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C. He lives with his wife of 56 years, Benita Alk Lubic, also a member of Who’s Who in America in her own right, and is the father of three grown children and five grand children. Secrets Of My Father is the second novel by Professor Lubic who is now working on a third.
