The best hockey player in the world today is Sidney Crosby. Who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins, owned by Mario Lemieux. Whose who was a Canada Cup teammate of Wayne Gretzky. Who broke many impressive records held by Gordie Howe. Who competed against Maurice "Rocket" Richard. Who played for the Montreal Canadiens, as did Howie Morenz, the “Babe Ruth of Hockey." It seems the stars of today are more closely connected to each other and to the pioneers of the game than you might think.
