Nelson Abaya was born in Cebu Island, Philippines and was raised and has lived in San Francisco, California and the Western United States for most of his life. He has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, North America and Europe, and hopes to sojourn soon in South America, Oceania, South Asia and Africa. Nelson Abaya received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science Degree in International Business from Saint Mary's College of California. He is a legacy LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional), United States Green Building Council, Washington D.C. The author is a member of the California Academy of Sciences.
