One of the distinguished experts on Islamic philosophy, Reza Akbarian is an Associate Professor of Islamic Philosophy at Tarbiat Modares University in Iran. He received his advanced education at Tehran University and Tarbiat Modares University, and his advanced level in religious studies in Qum. He returned to Tarbiat Modares University in 1992 and has been teaching there since, and has also served there as Dean of the Faculty of Humanity. He also founded the Sadra Institute for Higher Education and served as its president. He is the author of over twelve books and numerous articles on philosophy in Persian, English and Arabic.
