Crown of England. I fay, reliev'mg of the Crown. Nor or Barony in England was at one Time or other Created'. The King. Originally, or in its Pirfi Creation, it moved from the King Himfelf, the Chief Lord of the whole Realm; and could be holden immediately of no other Lord. For example. The King enfeoffed a Man of a Great Seigneury in Land; to Hold to the perlon enfeofi'ed and his heirs, of the King and his heirs, by Baronial Service, to wit, by the Service of Twenty, Forty, Sixty Knights, or of fuch other number of Knights, either more. Or fewer, as the King by his Enfeofment limited or appointed; But of thefe matters I {hall have Occafion to {peak at large hereafter in this Volume.
