She has won numerous awards and accolades including ALCTS/CCS Margaret Mann Citation and Fulbright awards. She earned her MLS from Queens College (CUNY) and DLS from Columbia University. Joanna F. Fountain has used her library and Spanish bilingual skills since the early 1960s, serving in elementary school, academic, and special libraries, as a librarian, a department head, and as an editor. Since 1990 she has been a consultant to state agency libraries, a rehabilitation center and served as liaison for Texas schools' K-12 union catalog. She is a popular presenter, author, and teacher. Jane E.
