About the Authors Robert Emmet Meagher, a dual citizen of Ireland and the United States, is Professor of Humanities at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. The author of more than a dozen books, plays, and translations, he has lived and worked in Ireland, twice holding visiting professorships at Trinity College Dublin. Mark Meagher, an avid naturalist as well as a competitive cyclist and kayaker, has lived and studied in Ireland and is currently completing graduate studies in architecture at Harvard University. Elizabeth Neave, after studying and teaching in Dublin, pursued her graduate studies in education at Smith College and currently teaches elementary school in the Connecticut public schools.
