Excellent value for money and useful for entertaining young children on long journeys. Each pack contains an "Usborne Young Reading book" and an audiotape. The CD features music and sound effects to accompany a reading of the book on one side. On the other, there is a straightforward reading of the book, with sounds to indicate a new chapter or when to turn a page. "Young Reading books" combine entertaining stories with easy-reading text and are specifically for children who have recently started to read independently. The series has been developed in consultation with Alison Kelly, a specialist in early reading.
