It is during one of the typical South African thunderstorms, that John, a Johannesburg-based Chartered Accountant receives an unexpected visitor. Xola smells of dusty roads, is approximately seventy years old, and has travelled a lengthy distance from the Omaruru Children’s Orphanage in Namibia. His request is to commence a search for Rainbow, one of the orphanage’s children, who has disappeared. Fully aware that he is not a detective and having to deal with a tortured past, John is at first reluctant to accept the challenge.
