Seventy-seven-year-old Shlomo Hirsch has known for 55 years that he is the Messiah, but he has never known what to do about it. Rolf Gompertz is the author of eight books, including Abraham, The Dreamer- An Erotic and Sacred Love Story; A Jewish Novel About Jesus; and Sparks of Spirit, How to Find Love and Meaning in Your Life 24 Hours a Day. A refugee from Nazi Germany, Gompertz earned a B.A. and M.A. from UCLA; worked for NBC 30 years; and has taught at UCLA Extension since 1974. He and his wife, Carol, live in North Hollywood, California. They have three married children and five grandchildren.
